CHARACTERS
LASZLO, main character that lives in Ebert's house outside the city. Abandoned by his parents when he still was a student, he meets Ebert that proposes him and his friend Edgar to live with him. Member of the boy-scout group of his former school, he helps Ebert in his work and belongs to the escort service of the president of his country, with his partner Edgar, after they both received military instruction by the boy-scout group leader.
EDGAR, friend of Laszlo, who met him at school where they were students in the same classroom. He lives with Ebert, who decided to house him, too, after knowing that he lived alone in a small room of a guesthouse because his parents had died years ago and he was their only son. He helps Ebert and Melke, sometimes delivering newspapers in the city and also he belongs, with Laszlo, to the escort service of the president.
EBERT, journalist who works for a radio station. He is happy for living with Edgar and Laszlo, two kids with a difficult past life. The place where he works is often custodied by the secret police of the state because of he and the radio station workers cannot say whatever they want if they do not have permission of the country's regime.
MELKE, worker of the newspaper agency. He delivers the newspapers to all the newsstands in the city. He and Edgar are very good friends, and know one another very well.
MR. MARTIN, director of the newspaper agency. Although he does not like the government of his country, like the other characters, he must be subjected to the government's laws and many times has to publish information in favor of the regime, though he hates to do it.
FANNY, secretary of Mr. Martin and the only woman of the series. Very nice and sympathetic with every character, specially with the two boys Laszlo and Edgar.
